The well-loved Facebook-owned photo and video sharing service made another major change to its app on Wednesday, changing logos for Instagram—as well as its other apps, Layout, Hyperlapse and Boomerang—to a new, multi-colored icon theme for both iOS and Android.
While there was mostly negative feedback about the change, the brighter and more minimalist look arguably keeps up with the modern generation.
Soon, the company is also making some visual changes within the app, turning their colors to plain black and white in order to put more emphasis on the photos and videos. Navigational icons will be redesigned and notification icons will also be changed from orange to red.
How are you liking (or disliking) Instagram’s new look?
