Apple was reported to have already requested for a male and female variation of the five different professions–an artist, a fire fighter, a pilot, an astronaut, and a judge–to make an appearance at the next Unicode update.

The tech company giant had been talking about their desire to have these variations, and now there is an actual example to give the users an idea how they may look like.

Unicode Consortium is the non- profit organization is the one who created the Unicode Standard by standardising characters and symbols online; members of this organisation include: Apple, Huawei, and Google.

Version 9.0 was the latest Unicode update, which was considered a success thanks to the addition of a bacon and avocado emoji. The next emoji update, Emoji 4.0 is expected to be released by November and will be available to users phones by the end of this year or early next year.

The aim of this organisation is to avoid, as much as possible, the appearance of those white boxes when an Apple user sends in an emoji to an Android user, like what they say, “no matter what the platform, no matter what the program, no matter what the language.”

Early this month, Apple announced the addition of female emoji for its surfer, runner, and basketball player characters which will be included in the release of it iOS 10 update. The company had been ahead when it comes to the inclusive emoji game
